Lady Clare

Lady Clare has been supplying handcrafted placemats and home accessories since 1932. With years of experience, Lady Clare is synonymous with design quality and service. Over 80 years ago, Lady Clare Pigott founded the company after a concern for her laundry bills, after needing to clean her table cloths so often after having to entertain diplomats in their Paris posting. Lady Clare then made placemates from painted hardboards, flower prints and laquer. This then caught on and impressed her friends who asked her to make them some, resulting in the creation of the Lady Clare company.
